In difficult economic times such as these the general consensus seems to be diversification in order to hedge one's losses until markets begin to "normalize". Well, that is kind of what I'm doing here at Zencycle except for the fact that I make zero money from anything here and my hyper-interest in motorcycling actually consumes the bulk of my disposable income, which in the -1% economic strata ain't much. Couple that with the increased cost of good old fashioned gasoline, an essential component to motorcycle travel and I've seen fit to expand my blogging interest into the world of mountain biking. I think this is a good fit for a few reasons. First, I'm fortunate enough to live in Dayton, Ohio which through its Five Rivers Metroparks is trying to become an outdoor adventure destination for the Midwest by cultivating some excellent riding destinations in town as well as several good trails within a reasonable driving distance. Second, mountain bike fuel is calories and true grit of which I, through a series of kick-ass lifestyle choices, am chock full of. I'll be posting more videos of mountain bike and sportbike riding as the season moves on. Enjoy.

Proper motorcycle camping luggage is essential to good time on the road. My FZ1 is outfitted with a full set of Givis that I picked up from the good folks at Twisted Throttle. I have punished SW-Motech side and top racks, using them for everything including packing firewood to a campsite. However, nobody punishes motorcycle luggage like this dude.

Highway 28 out of Stecoah to Deal's Gap along the Cheoah River. Nice forest and river riding. This along with the Cherohala Skyway are my favorite rides around "The Dragon". The video is too long, but I'm a sucker for scenery. Enjoy some Hendrix tunes while you watch

There are a billion "Dragon" videos out there, but no one ever films south past the gas station. I'm trying to be different and bring that little stretch of road some love.
